My Trailtech has developed an issue regarding the speedo. The Milometer and Speedo have stopped, but everything else works.

Magnet is fine, as is the gap. Wires all in place. Joints were sealed with Amalgamating tape.

Anyone know something else I could have missed or should be checking?

Thanks.

EDIT: Just to add. The display used to shut off to just the clock after 20 mins, but now it doesn't. Although the display light does stop.

Is the magnet and sensor still intact? If they are left aligned the unit doesn't turn off

From the above it looks like you have (or did not)have it connected up to a power source it will turn off after 20 mins it was just running off the units battery,if you have lost your magnet or the sensor has come loose you will have a 0 showing, try unpluging it and re connecting it if this does not work on the back of the unit is a red reset button try that if no good it looks lake a new speed sensor cable, hope this helps Rob

Thanks.

Reset & reconnected at the headset. Still nowt.

I'll reconnect from the sensor cable end tomorrow and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks again.

EDIT: There's only one connection. MB out of stock too. Titfuckcunt.

Gaz, I think mine's still in Warrenty so I'll contact MB. If not, then I might try the sensor from eBay (Cheers 28)

Toddy. Their sensors are out of stock.

If my speedo is f@@ked, would those black trailtechs work? I like the look of those.

Just an update.

I bought a new sensor of ebay and it was the sensor that was dead. So I'm delighted to have my Trailtech back.
