Scoot RS anti dive done properly

How did you mount the rose joint to the folks, hopefully going to be doing this very shortly and looking for ideas.

Had a small bracket welded onto the forks then just use a nut and bolt and stainless rose joints were £8 each.

Hi Craig, any science to the geometry/position of your mounting bracket? Or was it just where the two joined rose joints ended up? I would like to do something similar to my scoot, hense the question. I presume when you say "done right" you mean the lack of play in the rose joint while still retaing the ability to pivot.

I think all we did was make a note of where the normal Scoot RS caliper bracket lined up then fitted anti dive caliper bracket and rose joint tie bar and welded lug on forks when the bracket was in the right place as none anti dive bracket. I think there is some science as to where it should be welded but this worked for me and it works a treat. I will never look back wish I had done conversion years ago.

Been looking at the scoot rs site but its hard to see, what is stopping the speedo unit from spinning round as now the locater on the calliper carrier for the disc link and speedo is not there? hope this makes sense.

The speedo housing still locates on the lug on the fork link the same as normal.There is a pic of the speedo housing on page 2 of this topic.

Is there some sort of bearing or bush in the caliper carrier to allow it to pivot? Are you disc or drum links?
Thanks for help, trying to understand how scoot rs have got it to work. I'm using disc links so don't have a locating bolt on my links, this is on the current carrier, on there new anti dive carrier there's no bolt on the bottom.

Iam using drum links and yes there is a bearing in the caliper bracket. I don't know if Scoot RS do a speedo housing for disc links, you could try corrado on here I got mine of him or try rindall/ramble whatever his name is on the other site
