Timing for a TS1
Could someone tell me please the timing degrees for a TS? i've heard so many variations, i'm helping a mate fit his new BGM stator so is it 17, 18, 19, degrees before TDC. Your help and advice is always appreciated

Thanks for that advice, but the mate i'm helping is tighter than a Camel's etc etc etc so the part you suggest is way off.
I had to ring A.F's today (unforseen before posting) and they say they set all TS1 at 19 degrees before TDC. Is this super safe or could you set these things up at less degs?

AF,s advice is to be taken...............surely,and why would you not .........?
at 19 that is the best compromise setting........
you could set it at 20/21...........if you want.........it would improve low speed grunt, but would inhibit revs.............
you could if you like try 18/17.............this would help high speed/revs............but loose out on low speed..........
so follow AF,s advice with this............19 is good........ dave......
