Another update on the eBay project.

I have now fitted the engine in my PX and found a couple of problems.

1/ the 28mm dellorto I bought supposedly off an Honda NSR125 2T turned out to be a 4T carb. Luckily I had an old 2T body in the garage so swapped it over and that cured the first problem.

2/ The clutch can not handle the power and slipped as soon as It tried to get into the power band. Just rebuilding that with S.I.P race plates and springs.

apart from those two problems I have found no other issues so far.

The next steps are to put a few miles on the clock and then get it on the dyno to see how much power we have. Once I have those figures I'll post a graph and the final build costs.

happy days :fb:

luvin this, home tuning, budget, the lot, I'm sure there are lots of us up and down the country waiting to see the dyno run and your riding impressions.

an inspiration to many as to what can be achieved.

wonder if you'll be satisfied, every chance either way I bet you'll have it in bits to do more, after a few weeks ?

Finally went to see Al @ Diablos Dyno. The engine spec is as below, all except where stated were bought off eBay second hand.
I did the porting myself just by looking at photos on the various forums.

On the first dyno run before any changes we saw 23.5bhp but it was running quite weak at the top end. So after a few jetting changes we ended up with 21.9bhp at the rear wheel.

Malossi 210 Kit - bought off eBay for £43.00
P200E cases - £81.56 off eBay which have now been ported for a reedvalve kit and matched for the malossi kit.
Reedvalve kit - eBay £48.26
30mm Delortob Carb - eBay - £27.00
Beedspeed lightened Flywheel - eBay £32.14
Race crank - eBay £9.00
Gearbox & xmas tree - second hand on this forum - £25.00
Clutch - second hand - eBay £ 11.00
JL RH Pipe - second hand off eBay - £130.00

New Piston Kit for the Malossi 210 - Beedspeed - £88.00
New Bearing & Oil seal kit - eBay - £58.00
New clutch plates - £25.00

Total so far = £577.96
