I'm thinking of going full carbon (not the frame) on the GP, anyone have any experience of fitting it, good or bad, does it take much fettlling?
I can make a set of metal fit pretty well, is it the same sort of process?
Any info much appreciated.

Lammy Carbon body work - what's it like to fit?
I was thinking PM,who else supplies it?, Fattspeed don't seem to be around anymore.Mag wrote:Mine was no problem, though I suppose it going to depend where you get it from/how good it is

Got mine from PM, not too bad to fit although marking up and drilling all the holes in the legsheilds took time and patiance, a couple of parts, bridge peice and front mudguard were slightly distorted, the bridge piece was so bad it had to be returned, which was replaced without fuss, after a few thousand miles the under horn casting metal bracket that secures the legsheilds to the frame using two 5mm bolts which is bonded to the carbon fiber came away, an easy fix but required removing the leg sheilds which was a pain, apart from this the carbon fiber has been spot on especially after a recent get off, all I had to do was order and fit a replacement for the damaged rear runner and she was as good as new.

My legsheilds are PM and are very good. Didn't like drilling them or cutting the hole for the brake pedal either. These have been on for 5 years and still are fine. I had them clear laquered before fitting because I preferred a less matt effect.
The rest was from MB and has been on longer. I recently had to replace the bridge peice as it wore the bolt holes to slots. This is now a PM item which is a more substatial design, though needs a bit of filing to fit.
