malossi 210 wont go over 55

Did you fit the circlips in the piston?
A Jaguar motor development engineer with a 1st class honours degree forgot the circlips when he built his 225 Lambretta motor - it wouldn't go past 55mph either ......

yip the old pipe has gone , have an old simo im going to try on it when i get the chance just to rule the new pipe out as the scooter is at another m8 of mines to have the timing set , and yes the piston circlips are on well they were the last time i looked lol,

Danger, what's the story with the crank in this? Looks like the keyway has been filled and recut, anyhoo due to that the timing was at about 10deg btdc so set now at 18, haven't had it out but would timing that advanced be likely to be the cause?

john its a new crank , the old flywheel split two woodruff keys so i got the flywheel thats on it now an put it on, timing that far out it could be im not sure m8 give it a run an see
