Cracking...

Anything related to paint & bodywork issues on scooters....

no easy cure i,m afraid ,what it needs is sanding right down to the metal ..and if cracks are present which i have seen many times then the only cure is to weld up and repair before re painting ...dont be tempted to re fill and paint over cos they will re appear in time

Best bet Tim,
Take the rack off, and have a scrape/poke.
It will get worse, but then you know what you are dealing with.
If as Sean says its split, it can be welded and a localised repair done,
Or worst case, the whole top loop resprayed, if it was in a standard white, it will be an easy match allowing for slight fading.

Thanks Shaun, will leave it to the winter and decide then. You know me, I was hoping for a "paint this clear something over and it will seal it up" ...... :lol: .... :oops:
