The man who would have all the details is Mr.B.-Jez (Terry Gibson)who had it built originally told me that was the stroke.I'm fairly certain it was but will stand correction if wrong. The main issues with the engine was the mag side leak, and end plate studs.Did it still have the home made hydraulic clutch on it when yo got it?cant remember if it did or not-all my stuff got thrown out when my mum cleared out her garage 15 years ago!!!!!!!!
No chaincase side on when i got it. Any info would be most welcome! Dosnt seem to have any welding
round the crankcase as i would have thought a 64mm crank with a rotax rod should have but i know if its done properly
it can be hiden quite well ! And i know Mr Broadhurst can be very finicky about the quality of his work !
The KPR 2 that come with it probably didnt help with the tracktability of the motor as they are all top end and no grunt ! "My opinion only "
i have a horrible feeling.things are going to go bang
Your dead right about the KRP pipe-that was put on as a quick bodge to get it back out on the road-the original pipe was based around the KX250 pipe off the crosser!!I couldnt get it to fit with the panels on!!! The carb also sat totally outside the panels!I would like to see it put back together properly again and put in a sprinter-I didnt know then what I know now so it was fairly half arsed!! .I know it would fall outside current regs, but boy would it go!
Pulled the crank out and Mr Broadhurst has engraved it with a job no and the words gibson and 60 stroke !
Iv now got a 64mm stroke crank off Jerome at Readspeed. So next job to get it fitted with a big rod probably a Rotax.
