I've been offered a written off GTS300, cat B so has to be broken for spares. I've been considering converting a GP to auto so this would be ideal, only problem is the keys are missing. Is it a simple case of getting another ECU and keys or is there another way? Other option I suppose is to sell the bits and build a rotax or runner engined GP. Any idea of the value of the 300 engine with only 900kms?

what you have on these is an immobilizer key ,receiver antenna thing which is linked into the cdi /cpu unit ..you cannot simply remove the the key transponder/ antenna as the CPU needs a signal to allow motor to start .. pm tuning do an immobilized cdi/CPU .. i think these are about £100 +

Hi gray the pm immobiliser don't work on 300 gts only 125/200 .With the gts 300 when u lose the brown master keys That match the ecu u have is replace the ecu/throttle body and lock set/keys...with the new/replacement make sure there's a brown master key with the new ecu because this is the only way of making a spare blue key work too as they have to be tuned in with a brown master each time . You could prob go carb'd too an ditch the ecu/immobiliser like the scomadi 250/ piaggio beverly 250/300 engines but I've not done this yet so don't know if it works Ask frank Sanderson he may be able to help

I believe the ECU does ignition too so running a carb would still need some way of advancing the spark? If I had a wiring diagram I may be able to see what's going on.
