Info on my scooter anyone?

Post pics & videos of your scooter, projects you're working on, a lovely Vespa that you saw at a rally, or anything else scooter related.

The guy i bought it from didn't know much about its history, however the more i do to it, its obvious the person who originally built it spent a fair bit of time and money on it. Just wondered if anyone recognised it and could help me fill in the blanks.

Thanks Eden for the nice comment, I've got a sort of "marmite" relationship with it at the moment :x :P

I'm pretty confident that scoot belonged to a guy camped next to me at Kite Hill on the Isle of White a couple of years ago. I recognise the paintwork, he told me he had painted it by hand with nail varnish over a black base coat with a heap of lacquer over the top. The paintwork looked great, I think it took quite a few bottles of nail varnish to do the whole scoot.

Thanks for the info, i wondered how the paintwork had been done, I've not seen anything like it before.

Thats very interesting, thanks for your reply. Do you know anything else about it. Did your friend Darren do its current paintwork / build etc and how long ago? Any info gratefully received. Ps. Do you think Darren would mind if you pm'd me his number for a chat about it, cheers.

Well its a credit to him, he did a good job of it. The paintwork is still in very good condition, how long ago would you say he did it? Did he also put the Ts1 motor in it?
