Hi all
Thread has just gone on my casing as I torqued up the top end! Looking at fitting a helicoil, know its an m8 but not sure of the pitch, any one know?

This has just happened to me, I decided not to helicoil, not keen on them, Beedspeed do repair studs 8mm one end and 3/8" or 7/16" Whitworth the other. just retap the casing to whichever of these sizes you decide on and screw the barrel stud in, the 3/8" is the better size as it still leaves plenty of metal around the stud. When done I torqued it to 23lbft all ok,....so far. This is the torque figure AF recommend for TS1`s
Keep on keepin on

Cheers for the replies lads, after reconsidering I think I'll go down the oversize stud route.

Thanks again
