I am trying to set up a mikuni TM24 on a 186 mugello with an af rayspeed 42mm zorst.... (remote filter)
started off with a 175 main and 20 pilot ... messed about with various other combinations, but that was the best of a bad lot... 4 strokes until the main jet kicks in, then it flies!
any suggestions as to jetting or solving the problem?
thanks
david

It's fitted with a 5N14...... that's what most seem to run well with.red ghost wrote:What needle are you running?
The alternative is a 4DH7. I'll see if I can find out if that's leaner or richer.

Check the carb section on LCGB David, I'm sure there's a few on there if you scroll back through a few pages. I can only recall selling one other for a Muggy and I've not heard back from him. Forget what exhaust but I'm sure I'll just have quoted the 20 & 180 as starting points.

Yes, they're popular on stg 4 200s and classic rapido 200s so I'd have though the jetting would be pretty close for both 186 muggys and Mild 200s, main jet appropriate to the exhaust.
