Hi all,

If you are on the LCGB forum then you would have seen this already. But having spent far to much money and time in the past of VW beetles I thought I would go for a Lambretta to do the same thing again hahah

So here are some photos of my first scooter. A nice Italian Li 125 S3 from 1963. My plan is to keep the scooter as is on the outside then add some new cables, brakes, tubes, tyres, add 12 volt loom, LED rear and front lights, new seat, rear rack, spare wheel and then we have the engine rebuild which will be a Mugello 186cc kit, 26mm carb, Varitronic, GP crank with a Clubman / Ancillotti to top it all off.

Work started some weeks ago so here you go tell me what you think.

The rear runner is a bit of a pain but I am having that bit fixed right now, and then I will have to paint it in somehow. And the Ankor wax from my old VW days has already been slapped over it just needs buffing up now.

It amazing to me how good the metal work is. When you look at the VW I had from the same time it was just full of holes and a large amount of the funds, time and effort had to go in to fixing these first.

There's something about a peppermint coloured LI. It's just classic.
