Yeah, go for the old style 7 spring type.

A very pissed up and highly entertaining conversation wirh Oz and Diablo close on 5 years ago now came to conclusion that clutch problems on 200's only started when folks started using the Cosa type.

Forgot to say, do you know about using the Cosa float chamber on the carb to increase flow?

i had a old style clutch with only 4 springs harry barlow did it, clutch felt good light and no slip what so ever

Ok, thanks for that.
I have a 28mm pwk on the shelf. I would like to have a go with that in the future. I see there is a few basic rotary manifolds for the p motor.
Which one is most identical to the std carbbox in terms of shape of the tract where it connects to the cases? I would like to match the intake to the case and then have the option of just bolting the 28 on, and have a nice transition between manifold and case. I know I can use some chemical metal to get the shape right but I would like to bodge as little as possible.

Got this wrapped up.
Widened and raised xport to 65% and 176degrees. It was a bitch to dremel as the stub is a piece of the barrel. Very hard to get to with the straight handpiece. Also the stud channels are very close to the port and caution is needed.
I opened up the piston abit.? Atleast I gain from the reduced weight.
Otherwise it all went pretty smooth. Started on 3rd kick.
I took it for a lspin but cause of the ice its very hard to tell how it runs. It feels very strong and lowpulling.

Still a bit slippery.. Im rebuilding the front end atm, but hopefully will be able to take it for a spinn during the weekend. We have a dyno evening coming up 8th June, so no hard results before that.

Time for a update.

Came out 18.3 hp on the dyno. Pulls very nice power wheelies in 2nd, if that is important to anyone.
All in all very nice and drivable motor.
Unfortunately the dyno operator didnt hook up the gear to measure rpm and torque so the graph dont say that much, but I´ll post a pic when I get it on the computer.
I have driven it for 4000km´s this summer so I´d say its reliable.
Consumtion is marginally bigger than a std 200. Overtaking cars in 60+mph.

With a "better" pipe there would probably be more to gain but its really nice as it is and feels perfect as a touring machine.
