should be fine then...as ive said i had a similar prob..it was eating plugs, when i got the scoot dynoed at readspead i mentioned it to jerome,he basicaly once the plug gets "wet" the spark will arc to its most direct route,im running an augusto myself with a pattern cdi and not got any probs as yet but ive a ducati one as back up.a 9 plug is for total balls out as you know, but round town it could be fouling up,id seriously try an 8,anybody any thoughts on this?

The champion i've put in is a 3, equivalent to ngk 8. Will have to see how it goes. Must admit, the 9's seem to be failing after running around town, and I was in heavy stop start traffic on sunday when the 9 packed up.
I just want to be a bit more confident before riding to Scarborough next week!

my own thoughts are champion for standard engines no problem ,ngk i didnt have problems with 20 years ago on tuned engine however lately cant get on with them currently running nippon densos . not had a problem as yet .it is correct in saying the 9 is no good unless youre caning a really fast motor .interesting about the wet plug arc thing though .

Just an update for interested parties.
Have had champion N3 in scooter for 600 miles now with no problems. Thrown the spare NGK's in bin!
