Hows the DAC mark, you got it back on the road yet?
the dac engine is buried under a pile of s**t in my garage sadly.
check out the speedhut.com 2" m/c speedos they are very thin and with slight mod i think will fit also they are gps so need no cable or sensor

Out of ignorance, how does a vapour speedo work and what are its benefits?

The speedo works from a speed sensor that picks up a signal when it passes a magnet mounted on your wheel rim or hub,you have to measure the circumfrance of you wheel in mm and put this in you speedo this gives your speed,i made a small bracket mounted to the top bolt on my caliper bracket and attached my speed sensor to this and moved it until the signal was being picked up,the sensor cable can be routed down the inside of the steering column, you also get a rev counter in which you are able to enter rev limits and change lights light up,the temp gauge sensor that comes with the speed fits around the spark plug (i dont use this) you also have sevice warning lights these come on when a pre-set mileage appears i used this to warn me after 70 miles for fuel, it also tells you time run time fasted speed highest revs used, if you want a compact speedo/rev counter get one,i hope this helpsSupereibar wrote:Out of ignorance, how does a vapour speedo work and what are its benefits?

I had one but not in the headset, brilliant piece of kit but you do need a battery for it to work correctly.
Trail tech do one but you can get cheaper elsewhere.
I had mine removed then sold because i bought a Mb speedo
The plus side of the battery was no dipping lights when you braked and a very loud horn.

TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back
