I'v just got myself a 1974 Spanish SX200 frame will Italian SX forks fit?

I've looked through the posts and it only gives the fork length for the later large
damper type.

is the frame a chrome ring type at all ... not sure if spainish frames had them but if the forks are for non ring and your frame is also they should fit

The frame is totally bare, I'll take a measurement of the fork tube as soon as I can.

Italian chrome ring type forks will be too long... You will have a wide gap there to fill. Poss fitting a chrome ring will solve your problem.

Around 74 the jet lost the chrome ring but the chrome ring headset/legshield's we're retained.
Just check the frame by the headset, tab at the back for steering lock non Chrome ring-no tab but thread for grub screw round the front of the tube means a ring was fitted.
Being a 74 it will have probably been badged as 'serveta'
