I would try and get an original crank also as no one appears to have any issues with these

couldnt you just get that crank rebuilt and cut back ?

It will work perfectly fine with out the crank being cut but for even more improved performance a cut crank would be better. Now this is an area I dont fully understand as in what degrees to cut it etc. but im sure someone will be along to explain it better

think the crank has been cut sean not sure if you can see in the pics ive posted , an as i live in belfast im not sure who to take the crank to to get it done or to trust to do it after what ive seen , i can post it off if it was worth having it revuilt comared to the price of a new one , if someone would like to pm me with overall costs that would be great thanks , or even if someone has a really nice crank they mite want to sell me for the rite price ofcourse lol im open to options thanks again

oh sorry, yes it does look like it has been cut back in one of the piccys ..I didnt notice that before

i have since been told that the fella that originaly built this engine an done all the porting work worked for dr scooters then left to setup on his own an is now JB tuning or so im told

I would advise running a base gasket. If you get a straight edge over the gasket face you will almost certainly see that the face is not completely flat. You can rectify this with a good quality grinding stone if your careful and know what your doing but the gasket is pretty thin so its better to use one.
Seal the base with 1104 gasket sealant.

thanks al , all gaskets fitted , engine seems to be ok now while a friend of mine was setting the timing he also shortend the fuel line an the scooter now pulls well through the gears , thanks everybody for your help and advise
