Okay,
Dumb question time. I need to detach my hydraulic hose so's I can replace my bearing. Do I just drain the fluid into a container until I put it all back together again.. Never done this before so just want to make sure I'm doin' it Right!

Can't you just detach the caliper with the hose connected negating the need to do anything with the fluid? Just take it off, replace bearing and then replace the caliper.

Sorry, apologies -I wasn't clear enough. I meant change my Fork bearings. So I'll have to clear the hose of fluid right? (The hose runs through the fork stem).
Anyone know of a site explaining, or exploded diagram of how a hydraulic disc system works? Might help this luddite get his head around it.

Still no need to disconnect the hose as the only thing that runs through the fork stem is the speedo cable
