Modify fast-flow tap?

My OMG fast flow tap is only flowing 3/4 pint a minute. I had already removed the mesh filter from the tap inside the tank. has anyone drilled them out to improve flow? If so where did you remove metal?

Was that measured on a full tank or was it only partly filled? Also, why do you need more than 3/4 pints per min

Had fuel starvation problem coming back from exmouth earlier this year. Stickys manual recommends 1 pint a minute so trying to get it flowing better before Warmwell as dont fancy another RAC trip.That was measured with half full tank. Would it make a difference?

all the passageways can be drilled out but the limiting factor is the rubber seal holes as ther a git to do properly the reserve normally flows fuel faster than the main
its a misconception that people think when the reserve is on that there getting 2 fuel feeds on, there not on most taps unless the quater moon cut out is modified to half moon

Didn't drill any of the holes but did open up the quarter moon slot with a dremmel. Didn't make any noticable difference. Did the same to a spare Cam Lam rear exit tap I had in the shed and then tried that. It flows 1 1/4 pints a minute on normal and reserve. Sorted. Not sure if cleaning the slot made any difference as had not measured the rear exit one before.

In theory yes but probably no noticable difference in practice.

I thought I was buying decent fast flow taps. Didnt really need the rear exit tap on my S2 as I have more than enough clearance between tap and engine mount. I guess all fast-flow taps are not made equal. They were all bought off reputable dealers, not evil-bay. Happy with the cam-lam rear exit at 1 1/4 pints a minute. No point buying another so called fast flow tap just to get 3/4 pint a minute. The point I'm getting at is i have four fast flow taps either on scooters or as spares, just because they are sold as fast flow doesn't mean they are. I dont really want to spend any more cash on something that is not guaranteed to be any better than what I've already got.
I also like fettling, so if there is a way to improve the flow on a tap I wouldn't mind having a go.
