I can't see the problem with the price, 2-3K isn't that bad. There are plenty that spend that on a motor and there are plenty of 10K scooters about.
I work in a bike shop and the blokes I work with spend 10-12K on a pushbike

Sorry if i missed this but am i right in thinking you have to have that specific crank, carb & pipe for this to work? As in, if you alredy have a high end crank in your ts say you wont be able to use it?

Yes, its meant to be run with other specific components. I guess the parts are being sold individualy to give you a chance to buy one part at a time without forking out 2.5k all at once.
I suppose if you want to use other components you can but you will probably get told that it was never meant to be run like that, so your on your own.
The point i think they are trying to get across is that if you run with suggested components you will get a reliable 30bhp Lammy thats not ridiculously peaky but has plenty of torque.
I think if your starting to build a good engine, 2.5k is not far away from what you can spend by buying other good quality parts.
I'd like one because i bet its bloody fantastic but alas my pockets are empty at the moment
Hopefully someone will get one up and running soon and tell us what its like!
Its not everyones cup of tea but its certainly what i would personally like for my Lammy should i get the chance...........
Mmmmmmmm.........now how much was the limit on my credit card........
