Just seen a kit to covert a standard PX engine from a 4 speed to a 5 speed, has anyone done this conversion and do you have any feed back?

if i remember correctly but i may have drunk some beer since then, about twenty years ago there was an exact same kit out and it was a complete waste of time.
may have been on an armandos?
can not see the point at all unless you have a bike that revs its tits off in 4th.

I remember the Armando's 5-Speed box when it first came out, I few people I know tried it and they all experienced the same problem which was it 'ate' cruciforms for breakfast...!

Maybe this box is not from the same manufacturer...? but I guess the challenge would be the same in that the gears are too thin to support the cruciform when it's spinning at speed.
