step by step watercooled lambretta kdx220 setup
The scoot is a lot of fun, last dyno was 38 hp,but has since been slightly detuned as the compression was too high, too hard to kick over and kept blowing the head gasket. The camera is a Drift 170hd mounted to my helmet with a Sony mic facing backwards on my sprint rack.
Sounds great post up some pictures and motor info.sonicdave wrote:here's a vid shot from my kdx232

Rocho, that engine looks very familiar, isn't that the one that MB did for Chris Sturgess. I saw it for sale at Wicksteed one year and chatted to Chris about it ... some lovely work gone into that. keep posting up the pics fella, am intrigued to see how this all works out ...rocho68 wrote:first of all sorry for no updates but ive been concentrating on my clutches but hope to pick up the pace over the next week or so !! , as for the crank this was something i looked at but not something i was intrested in doing both in terms of time and money , my mate has one like this and believe me , this is not a simple engineering job even for somebody doing it for themselves , high bhp motors run jap conroded cranks fine so im really ok with the crank , if it breaks then so be it s**t happens !!!soullad wrote:Had a read thru of this thread again. Before you go any further are you sure the crank you are using will be upto the job? Why didn't you fit the KX crank? After comparing the 2 side by side and having a crank pin snap on the enduro motor I know which one will be getting fitted next.![]()

Hi Rocho
you've done a fantastic job really like what your doing..
I have the means myself to do what you've done and like others would love to use your experiences on having a go doing my own setup.
Will you be posting a more definitive step by step guide on what needs to be done..
Drawings, measurements, parts lists would be great..
right were do i start....
