To confirm, my RB200 kit is the TS1 Imola type exhaust fitment, so yes my Avanti is going on...

Yes but it's at a different angle so you'll need a specific RB exhaust. You'll soon find out when you try and bolt on your Avanti that it won't fit.jaymarriott wrote:I was looking at an RB kit yesterday, and it had the TS1 exhaust fitting, I was hoping just to change the crank so to speak.

Oh,
Thats pants.... I won't be rushing into anything yet as the kit was given to me as payment for some work I did on his Lammy
Mmmm, i've just been told I can fit different piston in the kit and keep my current crank... just need to look into the cost

Look for dt175 pistons they should fit and are cheap, mine also ran better than the af one it came with..No probs with the franspeed race either, great bit of kit.

Is the DT175 set up mean you can keep your crank, or do you have to change the crank?
What hp are these RB2 kit capable off?, I've treid looking but cannot find any figures.....
I know my crank is ok upto 25hp, and RT piston is good upto 50hp.
The DT piston sounds a good option.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts chaps

To my knowledge they've been supplied with different pistons, early ones with a Yamaha Blaster piston. Dunno if that's a DT 175 but it'll still needs a TV rodded crank.
Supposedly 20 bhp out of the box with 34mmcarb and race pipe.

I was going to go for a racetour piston, in which I can keep my crank as it is and get a new downpipe made for my Avanti. MMM sound fun.
Would I need to cut a hole in my side panel?
