Is anyone running the new AF Road/Rally pipe that won the Scootering shoot-out?
Thinking of getting one for my Imola and wondering are they all they`re meant to be on the road.
Currently have a JL3 fitted.
Anyone running the new AF Road TS1 Pipe?
I`ve got one but yet to fit it, comes bare metal needs painting etc.
Keep on keepin on

I don't think the quality is up to a JL, but on a slightly different slant, take a look at the Franspeed Race. This is what I went for instead of the AF on my TS1, I fitted it today and razzed up the road, I thought the clutch was slipping, the realised I was accelerating, it was just the powerband
Pulls low down too. Should do well with your Imola and the right gearing (5.0 on mine)

Turn On, Tune In, Cop out!
I've got one fitted to a tuned GT186 (200) and it is superb. Got a mate with a similarly tuned RB20 who has a Franspeed race. I have ridden his and I would say that the NK pulls harder and earlier. To snap at the heels of fairly serious kit like that with a GT is no mean achievement and is due partly to the pipe. It has serious exhaust timing and it is still nice to ride on the road.

Did they change the downpipe from the JL4? Mine is dented from these bloody sleeping cops they's got over here.soulsurfer wrote:I don't think the quality is up to a JL, but on a slightly different slant, take a look at the Franspeed Race. It's a different pipe to the JL4, but to answer your question, there isn't a ground clearance issue with these, unlike the JL4.

Cheers, soulsurfer, that sounds like what I'm after if the power delivery is similar to the JL4 (really, Taffspeed Race!). So I'm looking at either Franspeed Race or Pipedesign's Bullet (made be JL).

brother in law has one on his TS1 225 (NK new style) he loves it. he"s a bigggg bloke at 6" 8" and 25 stone, so has kept it at 5.2 gearing, as he"s 2"s up really. ive had a go on it at that gearing (6"1" and 14 stone, perfectly formed...) and loved it. its a series 2 , with a git big fat gadgee on it, with "HELLFIRE and DAMNATION" written on the battered sidepanels, if you dont like it , YOU tell him!
