Cant reveal too many details, you'll all have to follow the article in Twist And Go magazine, but as part of thier article Readspeed and PM Tuning did a BHP dyno shoot out at Scooterotica today, i understand they are visiting a track at Tockwith today to do 1/4 mile sprints and best of 3 laps..........should make for a cracking article.

So we had scooter journalist 'Iggy', Jerome from Readspeed, Paul from PM Tuning, and a few others turn up at the garage today. I understand that Martin from Chiselspeed was originally part of the shoot-out but something happened (not sure of details) which prevented him getting his scooter ready.

I had other commitments today, but didnt want to miss this so i took a couple of hours out of my schedule to go and open up and welcome everybody to our humble little garage. It can be quite intimidating having the big boys come over and use your facilities, but i was happy to oblige....and make tea!

Both Readspeed and PM have thier own dynos (and much bigger and more sophisticated/expensive ones than mine i might add!) but they wanted a neutral dyno for both scoots back-2-back on the same day.....so we were happy to provide facilities. I wouldnt normally let anyone touch my dyno gear, but these guys are experts in thier field, so i had no qualms letting them run thier own scooters on the dyno.

I dont actualy accept in any auto dyno jobs, as i'm specifically geared up (pardon the pun) to to geared Vespa & Lambretta scooters, thats my 'thing', but our facility (humble as it might be) helped these guys to fulfil one small part of thier shoot-out contest which i was pleased about.

I cant reveal any results, but they were both cracking looking scoots, and sounded lovely when they were cracked up and run on the dyno, shame Chiselspeed couldnt come and be part of the action too. See below for a few pics, and check out the full article in next months Twist And Go magazine.....

Got invited to this today but couldn't make it due to work.

In hindsight I suppose they don't want the likes of me near the scooters as they're liable to break down or catch fire :D :D
I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.

Thanks for helping out yesterday Dan, we would have been stuck if you hadn't stepped in at the last minute. Your Dyno did the job and I thought the workshop looked great so don't worry about competing with the big boys!

The track session went well, quite a nice little circuit. Perfect for the autos and it evened things up a bit. We'll be doing the 1/4 mile sprint at Scooter Shootout at Elvington on October 2nd so if you want to see the fastest Peugeot Speedfights in the country in action make sure you're all there!

Deffo karts but not sure what else. They've got 3 tracks, a big track, long tight kart track and a medium sized kart track (that's what we used). Noise is a bit of an issue though like everywhere these days so not sure if they'd run scooters on a regular basis unless they were less than 98db.
