ive been after a new work scoot (reliable, good MPG, cheap to buy , flog it on after a year, something different ....) for a while. got a Gilera Runner 180, but the 4 stroke version (they only made these for a year or so ive heard, then changed to the 200 ) so, anyone got any experience of the four stroke runners? ive had a couple of 2 strokes, but this is the first 4T Runner ive had.. any good?

yeah, been out on it today, and it goes ok, not as fast as my old 2 stroker (that was a really quick one), but pulls well, and if it gets 140 miles to the tank, thats what i want. thing is , i keep having to rev it at junctions, i keep thinking its stalled! its got the LeoVince 4road pipe on already, and a malossi filter and "chilli" oil filter (whatever that means). :wtf:

ye, they purr like a kitting! leo vince best pipe on the market for the runner, the air filter and oil filter just tackle fanny parts nothing gained by them and don't think about tuning it, takes a massive amount of money for very little gains, keep it in standard form

no intention of tuning. my last runner was standard , apart from air filter and kevlar belt, and that was quick enough. need it for work , so its more extra mpg, than extra mph i need. if it hits 80mph and 70mpg, thatll do me.

been to Tan Hill for the night, highest pub in the country(our lasses birthday, so the club went up for a p155 up)on the runner, and it hit 80+ mph on the A66 into a headwind, and i filled up when i got home this morning (note , when i got home), 100+miles, 6 liters of petrol. so whats that mpg? 70-ish? worked out its gonna save me about 40 quid a month in petrol and oil, or £480 a year! love me lammys , and i wouldnt part with me battered old vespa for all the tea in china, but fuel costs have gotta be looked at these days. its like having a free scooter really.

yeah, i work with Chip pan, and he"s bought a GTS 300 , and sold one of his lammys, mainly because of fuel costs. he used about 50 quids worth of petrol for cleggy, and a lad he was riding with used 12 quids worth on a GTS250. measurements wise, you can come round and measure me px up, if that gives you some idea. working 12 hour shifts this week, so it will have to be after 7pm this week. PM me , and i"ll meet you after work, and you can follow me home.
