rubber splits

hi i have a ts1 225 with a mb inlet manifold which had an amal 34mm mk2 carb i switched carbs to a mikuni tmx35 i kept the inlet manifold. now when i go after ten miles the rubber splits on the manifold side and seems to catch the engine mount any ideas of stoppping it thanks

Hi Ian,
Have you got the off center cones in that will take the engine a tad lower as to give you more clearance for your manifold and engine mate,also if you have not sorted a new rubber yet nip to my place or get intouch and check this tubing i have.
