Thats on a proper stage 4 with a PM pipe.

53 pilot
my main was higher but didnt have the bottle to go lower and colour was good

(been told you cant really rely on plug chops and read them as well with new fuel compared to the old 4 star but probably the lambretta rumour mill in overdrive)

Never had an issue and using cast barrel too,i found 118 took the edge off and 120 killed it.

It now has a jl3 snail, same carb 115 main jet, x7 needle, pilot jet 55, and choke jet 90 (it was 70).

Problem I have as it won't start unless I pour a little fuel in to the air hose. It will then start but sometimes not rev untill it changes its mind at some point. Sometimes its fine. Sometimes it will stop revving when riding.

Any ideas? Could it be a dodgy brand new carb?
You mention airhose, not trying to run it through the airbox are you?
no. I'm using a remote air filter which I remove when adding fuel...

I've changed the carb to another 28mm dellorto, same jets but it still won't rev. It runs okish (need to dyno) without the air hose and remote air filter but it spits out a lot of petrol on to the runner boards. Anyone enlighten me on why it shouldn't rev with an air filter attached?

ok, I spoke to soon, now it won't start at all. Put in a new spark plug, still no luck. I can't pour alittle fuel in to the air hose as I'm now using open bell mouth. So I'm on my third exhaust, third carburettor and it still won't work. Should I try something else?

I'd be looking at getting a multimeter on the ends of the stator wiring to see if the LT coil is breaking down and/or having a quick look at the top end to see if the bore or the rings are worn out.
