Hi
A mate of mine is having problems with the jetting on his Imola.
Set up is Imola 186 kit,42mil AF clubby,28mil phbh opened mouth, not sure of gearing!
60 Pilot
200 Float needle jet
40 slide
Av268 needle jet
X2 needle,2nd clip from top
118 main
Ngk 8 plug
Scoot will not tick over and is smoking like feck,is knocking plugs out left right and center (black and wet after very few miles)and drinking fuel like theres no tommorow
He has changed the stator, cdi, plug lead and ht cap thinking the reason its been knocking plugs out is electrical.
I'm thinking its more because the jetting is all over the place.(and way too rich??)
Does anyone have any pointers on jetting please?
Just anything that will at least make it rideable
(Time is running short for IOW so any help appreciated)

Firstly check that the choke cable is adjusted correctly,i'm not to familiar with the imola 186 but it looks like you could come down to a 55 pilot jet and you could put in an av266,but you can look at the carb set ups on this site ,this will give more of an idea what people are using and is very helpful.

Do one step at a time and make a note of what you have changed, and never go on long runs untill you are sure the jetting is somewhere near correct .
