Hi,

I'm needing some help in setting up the 28mm Dellorto PHBH carb on my GP200 that has a scootrs stainless steel exhaust. All else is standard.

I've just fixed the brand new carb to the scoot as is. I have an x7 needle that hasn't gone in yet. The GP is running way to rich and is oiling the plug badly resulting in not being able to rev after several miles usage. I also need to fill the standard tank every 20 miles or so.

Has anyone got a similar setup and can advise on setting up the carb.

I am reading the dellorto manual but tis complicated.

Cheers in advance

Well my GP has been through the spray shop and I've got it back. Stiil having problems running the damned thing tho.

It now has a jl3 snail, same carb 115 main jet, x7 needle, pilot jet 55, and choke jet 90 (it was 70).

Problem I have as it won't start unless I pour a little fuel in to the air hose. It will then start but sometimes not rev untill it changes its mind at some point. Sometimes its fine. Sometimes it will stop revving when riding.

Any ideas? Could it be a dodgy brand new carb?

You mention airhose, not trying to run it through the airbox are you?
