Need a bit of advice from the painting experts.

I`ve just sprayed a scoot in 2k grey, it looked perfect when I left it to dry last night but went out this morning and most of it has dulled to a matt finish with parts of it still a high gloss finish, any ideas what caused this?

I have used a different (cheaper) paint supplier for this job so is it a matter of cheap paint = cheap finish :(

Most cheap paints still give a good gloss ,what process did you use hardener, thinner?room temp?

Has the paint gone hard if it has then give it a flat off with 2000 wet and dry and use a high speed electric mop with G3 cutting compound but don't forget to use some water with the mop as it will get hot and burn the paint.

Mopping it is not an option. It`s everything...rims, forks, frame, mudguard etc.

Sean, painted over 2k high build primer.

Gonna scotchbrite it tomorrow and blow over another coat or two

Was it left to dry in a cold or damp environment? It sounds like blushing or bloom which occurs when there is condensation on the surface during thr drying process. As said, it MIGHT polish out if it isn't too severe, in fact, it might respond to gentle hand compounding with a colour restorer but do it within the next few days whilst it's still relatively soft. If you do have to apply more coats, make sure that you only spray in a warm dry environment ;)
