I think you'll find that Lucas do still exist but under the name TRW, and that they still have factories all over the world under this american name.

We don't know! I've asked for brake shoes with this dimensons and we've received this ones!...
So, if you really want to know, just e-mail lucas (or whatever they're called these days) and ask for the part number of lambretta dimensioned shoes.

I'm all for rewarding those with the ideas, I've given enough over the years, but it's not about the money, it's about availability of a consumable part in the future ;)

... I think this won't be problem, because we're living in a globalized world, most of the people can use the internet and since the war is over everybody could order parts in Germany without any problems

Look, I think it's a great idea, and I have no problem spending money on great ideas  I just prefer to have more than one single source for my spares/consumables that I may or may not need at short notice from round the corner, just an observation here that I'm not wholly comfortable with, now if UK dealers are supplying these shoes, then fine, happy days.
I look forward to reading Sticky's review.

IF there were supply problems in the future then I would have thought you could always get them relined easily enough?? or order a spare set of shoes with the kit ;)

An example...
When Richard Taylor designs a new product there's no secret of what the commonly available parts are that he's used, I like that, its no big secret and it makes me feel more comfortable.
That's the last I want to say on this matter.
