I have been having problems with my clutch for well over 2 years now

Last autumn I had enough and had a host of work carried out by Scooterotica, one of which was hoping to sort out my clutch problems.

Dan found that the bronze bush was worn, causing play in the crownwheel. Also I had the crownwheel machined by a friend to allow a greater movement between plates. Dan found because of the machining he had to fit a standard cork first, followed by thin steels and thin green corks to obtain the tolerance necessary (5 plates). Dan fitted long AF springs but you needed to have two hands to pull in the clutch. So we changed the springs to a shorter length, this was now stiff but manageable.

It wasn't till the spring of this year that I started to run the engine in, after barrel tune and piston change. Once run in correctly and the engine was warm, when increasing revs the clutch would slip. NOT APPARENT WHEN COLD.

The engine is only producing 23BHP on scooterotica dyno, so not too excessive

As two of my mates have centre springs in theirs, I decided to do the same and fitted a centre spring. Still slipping

I thought that the crownwheel could be the route cause, but I have bought a new crownwheel. Fitted it with 5 thin green corks and steels with new MB uprated springs. Still bloody slipping :x

I have adjusted cable and trunnion before anyone states the obvious.

Can anybody give me a clue how to stop this clutch slip, without buying an expensive new clutch system :?:

Two things to check are the kickstart shaft rubbing on the clutch top plate and that the clutch lever on the engine has enough free play before it contacts the clutch.

i agree with wack 63, the kickstart shaft has to be ground back quite a bit to get enough clearanceImage
