Contacted Tommo and all is good
The Chas ones aren't the same, I fitted a couple one to a GP which nearly fits
and another to an SX which was a complete ballache. On top of that I had to return them to be modified as they were flexing and would have been dangerous, not cheap either

Sorry to hear that soulsurfer, I watched my mate fit his to his gp no problems at all. Strange how they could flex the one my mate fitted was made from thick ally at least quarter inch thick and had strengtheners on it, was about 3 months ago so maybe they have been altered since u had yours?

We live and learn Jon, it does sound like they've been modified now, which is good, but the flexing will give very poor braking and something to note on any of these semi conversions, as is cable stretch (use the thickest and most friction free you can) but also leave enough slack on the adjuster to allow for expansion of calliper pistons. If set up well, they'll give as good a feel as full hydraulic.jonashford wrote:Sorry to hear that soulsurfer, I watched my mate fit his to his gp no problems at all. Tommo also has brackets for Li type as well as GP and late SX type frames.
