Yes ,I did one similar in the 80's on a Webster 190 and never had any probs so hoping I won't this time
.My idea is the faster you go the more air enters on the exhaust side of the cylinder plus the air from the fan would cause turbulence and push the air all over the cylinder,but I may be wrong
I have a CHT on a Vapor speedo so will know soon enough.

The lock is a Luna one ,I just made the bracket to match and welded a stop on the forks. My secret is out
. Went out for a 5 mile spin today and max head temp showed 100 C ,and guess what ? first ride and it pi**ed down and had to wash scoot when I got home.Bloody typical
