Just got scoot back after having new clutch fitted.
I was advised to drain and re fill gearbox with new fresh oil.
When draining out the old oil noted it had a silver gold fleck texture to it (really really small metal flecks)
The oil was also really black and gundgy.
Q1 What does this mean?
Q2 Ive also found out that the previous owner must have over tightened the underneath nut as the threads gone- Ive just had inserts in the clutch cover (for the same reason) so im guessing its possible to have an insert in this also. Is this correct??
Any advice welcome
Regards
Phil
advice please and what does it mean

The only brassy coloured parts in the motor are the pressure pad in the clutch cover and the shim and bush in the clutch itself but unless something was drastically wrong I would not expect to see debris in the oil just a metallic silverness to the oil.The thread can be repaired M8 or carefully tapped out to M10 and a shortened bolt and washer used. The black oil could be just old or wrong grade used.
