Hi, have a bit of a problem on px200. electronic ign...can only get spark at plug with the lights switched on. Have checked out ohm readings on lt coil and pick up and are all ok, have tried another known ht coil, lead and plug, have disconnected green from ign switch, and still have no joy. (have looked inside switch and seems ok ) any ideas much appreciated ..thanks John

Hi John,
As a quick test, unplug everything from the CDI and regulator and replug it correctly, leaving out the green ignition wire to the key switch ... Do not plug your light feed into the regulator either. Get a spark?

Thanks soullad, up date, engine now out of bike and sitting on bench, stator rewired and ohm readings checked out again, red pickup to white =112, green lt to white = 512 turn over and still no spark..if i pull the green Lt wire off the cdi and hold it against block i do get a spark...so ther is life somewhere in that stator, but still confused..thanks John

disconnect the green for harness from cdi if you have no spark then it must be cdi, plug lead, cap or plug

The engine is out the scooter mark, i tried allsorts while it was in. I have proved it is not the lead, cdi cap or plug by swapping them over individually onto my lambretta.... so i know everything is good. ;)

If the green stator wire is sparking to the engine casing and all other wires are connected correctly then it can only be a pick up/pick up alignment problem.

Well it certainly seems like it must be the pickup, just don't understand why its reading ok...i think i will have to stick a new one and then i shall know for sure..thanks.
