chrome ring head or not
Can you add a non chrome ring head set to a chrome ring bike by taking a bit off the bottom of the head set - or is the stearing lock in the wrong place etc--

There the same apart from there is more meat below the steering lock on a non chrome ring. You can machine it off but its hassle as the front of the headset intrudes into the base of the bottom headset.boxofbits wrote:how can you tell the diffrance between headsets is it just 9mm or

It's rather easier to remove the chrome ring and replace the top bearing.
