Bit concerned with the graph from table top..... ;)

we may be able to lose the dips in the torque curve with some mapping! :D

what bhp does a scooter need to be become 250 elsie mad
I think we have moved on from LC mad, because we understand how to deliver torque and how this improves the rideability of the machine. As has been pointed out, you are comparing chalk and cheese, because an LC is a twin, where short-stroke two cylinder machines can deliver good power without the need for as much torque as a you need for a crank that only gets one hit per revolution (like a Lammie).

So if an engine has been tuned to deliver lots of power (both bhp and torque), then why shouldn't it feel docile, as opposed to violent? In some ways, docile is the best compliment you could give a 30bhp motor.

My alternative measure of a good engine is:
* Can I ride it at 30mph in 4th gear without it bogging down?
* Does it make me laugh out loud when the power kicks in?

So back to that 30bhp machine. I rode it today. It can pottle along in 4th gear at 30mph without a care in the world. It made me laugh out loud the first time I hit the power band, and again the last time just before I handed it back to the owner.

So why shouldn't 30bhp be perfectly rideable? It's a great time to own a tuned engine.

I agree mine is 36.5 bhp and 26lbs/ft of torque with a fransspeed race pipe, I can ride it at 35-30mph in 4th with no problems and then drop a ear and gas it and end up with a massive smile when you hit the power band at 4-4500 rpm :!: I suppose it depends on the engine builder and tuner and what you ask them to do for you, but I am well happy with mine :D :D :D

thats the battle ive been having with the ts1, unless its in the power then nothing. i cant ride it under 50 in fourth.

its only 19.5bhp with 15lbs of torque which is not enough to pull lazily when you want to.

what is the true out put of a standard rb ?

Mine was 21.5bhp and 18lb/ft torque on Diablo dyno with a franspeed race pipe and august 8000 and a TMX35, after a jetting session.

I would assume that my RB22 has something similar to this figure as its almost the same set up, but i have to say that i don't need or want 30bhp if 20/21 can give me this much of a grin factor. I have a malossi221 that is supposed to have 24 or so bhp and the RB will p155 all over it all day long, this is down to the torque and power delivery not the peak power figure.
Rossi did you get an RB25 in the end? 36bhp????????? f@@k ME that must be mental!!!!
