Rear shock recommendations

In my infinite wisdom I recently dumped my R1 shock and sold it on (mainly because of the snapping issues) and I fitted a standard Escorts which I had kicking around

After this weekends jaunt to Builth it became apparent that the escorts just isn't up to the job, so i'm looking for a replacement , can't justify spending £200 pound for the latest 'must have' shock but would like something with adjustment any suggestions?

The protech shock looks like a decent bit of kit , is anyone using it?

Protech are a good bit of kit, had mine on the TS1 for two years now well engineered adjustable spring and damping

Forgot about these shocks chiggs did, had a good look at one last year on his stall and they look very decent..i plumped for the r1 in the end..
