gear oil

is there any other grade oil that can be used in a lambretta gearboxother than sae 90.

all depends on which clutch plates you run , had a long talk with the rock oil rep last week and he said if you run cork plates use st90, anyother style (green,red,motorcycle) use a 10/40,a 10/20 or a light gear oil. my problems i have had with my clutch bought this up with the rep and im pleased with what he suggested
