mb fork link studs

i have some mb stainless fork link studs..have trial fitted the dampers with washers and nylock nut supplied ...problem is the nut doesnt go on far enough to use the nylock?? are all dampers same width?? do i have wrong dampers?? any advice?? :| :|

most are the same width within a mm or so i have not had any probs with the mb studs infact the ones i have have always been to long

hi shoky hope your well...did you use the washers supplied mate?? with x2 washers, damper n nut fitted it just doesnt work??

Hi Mate if you measure the threaded area on yours i have a spare pair in my shed, if the thread on mine is longer you can have them f.o.c. Cheers Pete

pete very kind of you mate...overall lenght of shaft with thread is 25mm..threaded section is 14mm

the dampers width is 18mm washers are 3mm(pair) nut is 5mm(using the nylock) = 26mm

hi shocky..wow big diff then?? the dampers i have are the stainless ones?? your measurement is damper body or internal metal bush??

Hi maskie, i have measured mine and they are the same as yours so it looks like its your dampers which are the problem, i have bgm dampers on my scoot using the same studs and there is no fitment issues. Pete
