I'm having trouble getting first gear with the engine running.

What's that about?

I can take off in second, no jumping.

Could the cables be too tight?

It's a fresh build.

It goes into first ok without the engine running.

Had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago.... had to pull away in second....

Resolved it by sticking it in 4th, and adjusting the cables up good and tight from there....

Hope this helps

That's an interesting approach. I'll try it in the morning. Thanks
