Great exhaust test in Scootering this month. Anyone else surprised that the AF NK pipe blew the rest into the weeds as the best allrounder, a pipe that I`ve rarely heard mentioned compared to the JL`s, Devtour, PM`s and ADS.
Second for power and torque, remarkable result. All the big guns were tested and it was quite an eye-opener to see the results.
Although there`s only .5 HP between the top 8, it`s making it`s power at one of the lowest RPMs 6584rpm and it`s making 20 ftlbs torque at 6284rpm, same as the Taffspeed MK4. And only £220, time to sack the JL3 :D

I've not seen the article.. but is an allrounder/compromise something that anyone wants?
I'd have thought a pipe that does something specific would be more useful. ie, ADS3 if you're running high gearing or a 'race' pipe if you've bought a kit that doesn't make any torque.

According to the article it`s based on an RB pipe.

woah!

it is the best pipe on the test for performance

what about build quality?
ground clearance?
noise?

ive had a nk pipe, a jl3, jl4, taffy mk4 and franspeed

the nk was delivered new and i pressure tested the joints using argon and soapy water - 5 pinhole leaks were found in the welding and the downpipe section corroded very quickly (metal layers flaking off)

i would sacrifice 1bhp for good ground clearance and a pipe lasting twice as long - however i will consider one as my next exhaust

I will stick with my PM25 cause it does what it says on the tin..and when it falls to bits it will be replaced with an ads.. ;)

The ads seem to fare very well in the test and yes I agree that in my experience the Nk does tend to self destruct a bit dunn it bro.. :D
