but noticed mine didn't have this part(arrowed)

may be a bit of a numpty question but I'm assuming this is for the battery to mount to so would not unnecessarily been fitted to mine originally ??

any ideas as im still a widey virgin

It is the battery tray. It sits where the airbox would be on later models. Most frames came with and without battery trays depending on which market they were made for.

Mine's a 125 and it doesn't have that bracket either...I don't think that the Series 1..125's had a battery?

mine is a 125 frame :D ..i had concidered that as the one pictured is a 150 ...its on ebay at the mo

got the certificate and came back as 1959 ,odd cos i thought breathers were 58 ???

My frame number also gave it a 1959, the number is after the 'supposed' last Series 1, but it is also a framebreather. Sounds like you have a sister scoot to mine.....

yeah mine was a higher number than those given on archive site too
