carb rubber
any ideas to stop my carb manifold rubber popping off. 30 dellorto, no filter, imola manifold, jubilee clips and standard dellorto rubber just pinched on,fine until engine starts to warm up. leads to interesting running results thats for sure.
no more nails.....anyone? went to isle of white and back and couple of months after no prob, becoming a pain now on anything over a few miles.
tino saatchi told twinny to super glue it on when asked at swedish euro, he did and it lasted for ages

Is it a Malossi one?
CakeAndArseParty
seems to come of the manifold side mainly. does superglue or slvent react to rubber petrol oil, the rubber is plain tube with yellow stripe...thanks.
ooo you are awful.

ok are all ribbed rubbers suitable for a imola dellorto set up,is a mallosi (vespa?) the one i should use. ive heard of stepped rubbers ,ive noticed on the plain rubber that came with the carb there is a definate lip in the internal diameter between the carb and manifold can this effect the performance and metering affect of fuel supply? many thanks.

I tried the MB ribbed one, very impressed with the quality and fit, unfortunately I found out that when the bike was hot it slipped off all to easily, then of course contaminated no amount of clip pressure would keep the fecker on, I was really dissapointed after such a good start.
back to the old straight hose now, tightened with thin jubilee clips and certainly stays on ok.
after reading the forums, perhaps this one, I was going to try a piece cut from a length of

would provide spares too.

that was about 20 yrs ago and i used the last piece 3 yrs ago
