tried the usual suspects ....maplin etc but i cant find any

Looks like a bgm 1, used on 2 different scoots cant fault them. I struggled to find stockists but got them both of eBay, separate times, can't remember seller. But both spot on

yes ...it was the type of led fitted to the bgm that i was trying to find ,unless a s1 type is already available....the panel mount type

if its the actual led component you are after they are called 'superflux' leds..

check RS components or farnell for them (or you do see them on ebay)..
