does anyone know if it is possible to repair/ retap the choke thread on a standard SH Lambretta carb?
I have bent the alloy so as the choke housing is held in place but I would really like to get the thread repaired to new or replaced with one that is less likely to strip.
Where could I get this done and how much am I looking at?
Cheers

WHAT SIZE CARB IS IT
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm
Martin Cook at chiselspeed repaired one for me, re-tapping the carb and making a new screw in part that fits into it all, the other parts remained std, Plunger spring and adjuster screw...back then it was a Tenner but that was over ten years ago....

Similarly I had an SH2/22 re-tapped and new thread screw-in bit made for about a fiver about two years ago by a local engineering company. It might pay you to take the carb and ask around these kinds of places if you have some near you.
NO IT'S NOT A F***IN* MOPED!!!!!!
