I just had my 2nd engine mount failure in 900 miles (both kickstart side) :x  1969 GP200 stage IV + Clubman (otherwise stock). Was using genuine SIL engine mounts from a very reliable source. The first one collapsed before I'd even put the engine in back in the scoot. I'm running the Clauss Studios urethane ones in my Special (Suzuki 190) and have got 1000s of trouble free miles from them, but I'm lead to believe they have been discontinued. What is my best option for replacements?

Interestingly, took this one on the left out of my Injun Vijai whilst restoring. As you can see, compared to the standard SIL one on the right, the rubber goes all the way through  I now put silicone in the void on new mounts and leave it to go off. Can't do any harm and may prolong the life of the mount.

I have wondered about filling the gap with silicone has it made any difrence with vibration or handeling ie less engine movment, but thinking about if it makes them last longer bloody good idea :)
